Made to honour a time when we emerge from winter hibernation, ready to embrace the fresh air, clear skies, and long days, this whisky needed to be light and bright, with a delicious warm-season-friendly palate. As such, the whisky was left to mature for 17 years in refill American oak casks, famed for their slow and delicate maturation.
The outcome is a fine balance of caramelised pear, nutmeg, vanilla, freshly smoked peat, cedarwood, and distant campfires. Orcadian Summer in a bottle.
