Description
Double distilled in tall, slender pot stills and unique purifiers.
A brilliant inventor, a notoriously charismatic entertainer, and an unconventional world traveler, James “The Major” Grant inherited the Glen Grant Distillery, nestled in the rolling green hills of Rothes, Speyside, when he was just twenty five years old. Infatuated by technology and determined to create the best whisky in the world, The Major personally designed Glen Grant’s iconic, tall, slender pot stills in an unwavering pursuit to achieve his vision of the perfect single malt.
Our rare 18 Years Old matures in the highest quality hand-picked oak casks which deliver a vibrant golden colour and rich floral and oaky aromas. Its complex palate offers delicate notes of vanilla, malty caramel and raisins with a long, sweet and spicy finish.
“The Major” was one of the first distillers in Scotland to introduce purifiers into the distillation process. the purifiers further refine our whisky by ensuring only the very finest vapours condense into spirit. The result is and elegant and delicate style of whisky for which Glen Grant is renowned.
