Charred grapefruit peel, dried mango and zingy citrus, Shells on the beach and rather soft ashy smoke with melted and burnt brown sugar. Refreshing profile, mostly influenced by the bourbon wood. Mint and lime, hints of kiwi and green apple. Wet fabrics. Some waxy / oily notes.
Very coastal, tangy kiwi and mango sweetness, with beach bonfire, cigar box and buttery chocolate, waxy notes, spearmint, with the zesty notes growing bolder along with a mineral seaweed note. Much more smoky now, with a fairly sweet onset, quickly followed by sour lemons, brine and grapefruit skins. with just flashes of lime and unripe mango.
Medium finish with Briny Peat, savoury dried herbs and zesty candied citrus.

A complex, smoky Bowmore from Elixir Distillers’ Elements of Islay range comes this independently bottled Bowmore, dubbed Bw8! This one has been made with whiskies from 2001 and 2003, aged in ex-bourbon barrels and sherry butts for at least 16 years.

Just 1,320 bottles were released at cask strength, a robust 51.2% ABV, full of tropical influence and hallmark coastal Islay smoke.
